Brief HP have a training program that educates customers how to make the most of HP software they’ve bought. We were asked to encourage the sales force to sell this to customers.

Insight  Sales guys get commission from selling software, they couldn’t give a monkey’s about selling training. However, numerous client discussions uncovered some reasons for them to care.

Solution  With a nod to TED talks we created the Ed talks in which a simple animated training guy, turned the reasons to care into short, punchy, entertaining videos.

Clever bit HP’s strict guidelines insist on bland Getty stock photography which tends to make all their campaigns identical. As this video featured a Getty shot of a hand it stayed within the guidelines but was completely different from every other HP internal film. 

Result A gold internal award for the client.

Initially an internal campaign, it was extended to external.
